The I-Lab has provides the Haas@Work program and the Business School with an open, flexible, and inspirational learning space for team-based learning, creative collaborative work, and innovation processes. The 2,700-square-foot space is designed to be instantly reconfigurable, and supports persistent and iterative project work.
The lab is located on scenic Goldman Plaza, inside Berkeley’s Memorial Stadium, across the street from the business school. It features movable tables, chairs and white board partition walls, materials for visualize ideas, as well as a variety of A/V equipment.
Following the practices that we promote and teach, the lab was designed based on the needs of users, as well as through observations and interviews with the users and managers of similar outside spaces. It encourages and challenges our constituents to think and behave differently than they would in more traditional classroom settings.
